Welcome to the Muskegon Chapter of Barbershoppers home of the Shoreline Chorus.

Muskegon was a leader in the early growth of the Barbershop Harmony Society in America. The Muskegon Chapter was formed in September of 1940 as the official local representative of the Society For The Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA) now known as the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). In 1952 the Port City Chorus was formed out of the chapter membership. By 1965 the Port City Chorus had won five Pioneer District Championships and finished in fourth place two times in international competition. In the 1980's the name of the chorus was changed to the Shoreline Chorus to reflect the fact that many members hailed from locations outside of the the immediate metropolitan area.

The Muskegon Chapter and Shoreline Chorus has a long history of singing in the Muskegon area and welcomes men from all walks of life, musical experience, and age to come together to enjoy the fellowship of song.
